Studio Wife
“(We Are All) Stars in the Galaxy” is a narrative-driven VR rhythm game about being a pop idol in space. A rhythm game mechanic inspired by the likes of “Maestro” and “Beat Saber” combines with an intriguing narrative that explores why music and entertainment are so important to humanity. Taking cues from the electric atmosphere of Japanese idol concerts, the player experiences the fun of performing, with the goal of pumping up an audience on a spaceship.
Team Bio
Studio Wife is based in London. So far, we have specialised in narrative–driven rhythm games as this subgenre combines our love of music and strong stories, as well as providing space to experiment with innovative mechanics and have a lot of fun! The three of us participating in Tranzfuser this year have backgrounds in diverse fields such as music and the social sciences, as well as in games. After studying Masters degrees in VR, Game Design, and Japanese Studies, we have brought together our wide range of skills and perspectives to create a VR game that is both original and accessible to a wide audience. |
