Museful

Museful is a single player musical adventure being developed for PC. Play as the Conductor, explore stunning hand drawn 2D locales and meet compelling characters as you journey through the colour shifting, Metroidvania inspired world of Chromesthesia.

We want you to get lost in the game we’re creating. A world where there are no wrong turns. By mastering a combination of instrumental abilities you can progress through Museful in your own way. Enjoy tight platforming and controls with the many challenges that will put your skills to the test, and join us in celebrating player creativity. Your adventure will dive deep into five unique regions, each with their own inspirations, bosses, puzzles, original soundtracks and mysteries to unravel.

The song of Chromesthesia is fading. Every decision you make will be a part of your story as you compose your own melody to restore or abolish colour forever. Your canvas awaits!

Team Bio

We are Nostalgicat, and we’re from a little bit of everywhere! Right now you could pinpoint us somewhere between Cambridgeshire and Warwickshire, and we’re thrilled to have the University of Northampton’s support in bringing Museful to life.

Once upon a time, a visionary programmer and an ebullient artist shared an ambitious idea after becoming fast friends during their degree in game’s development. With the help of a certain business savvy sound designer, what started as a passion project quickly evolved into a dream. After the team’s talented 2D illustrator finalised the designs of a player character, the dream became unstoppable.

Being a part of Tranzfuser is a monumental opportunity for our team. It’s incredibly motivating to have encouragement and support from UKGF, not to mention the inspiration that comes with meeting so many fantastic developers taking part.

We couldn’t be more excited to start the journey.
